This is a story based on the photo collage that we did in class


Kane P.O.V

As I lay in front of the fire, the warmth brushing over my furry coat, i think back to when me and my sister Kaya were living on the street of the dark and cold city, i think back to the night were our life's changed for the better.

Thinking back to that night i think of our adventure of a lifetime. The night all started with me and Kaya were wondering down the street looking for some food. We had been doing this every night since we were born on the street and our mother died. As we walked the streets we heard the rumbling of the thunder in the sky, then the unthinkable happened the Moon started talking to us. The Moon told us that there was a magical rose that would grant us one wish, our wish for happiness.

Little did we know it would not be as easy as we would have thought, as we walked the cold and now wet streets, as it was raining, we came in contact with a pack of homeless dogs. Not just any pack of dogs a pack of very angry and hungry pack of dogs, the closer me and Kaya got the louder and more clear we cloud hear what they were saying. They were telling us to come closer, it sounded like they were going to eat us. Then they started chasing us as there hunger and anger took over. We ran as fast as our little four legs could tale us for what felt like miles. The sound of their barks and heavy paw steps finally disappeared.

We walked the streets for what felt like hours, until we came across a trashcan, down an alleyway, filled with scraps that many would not dare to eat, being as hungry as we were we scrummage right though it looking for something to eat to fulfil our empty stomach. We had finally fulfilled our stomach with a small yet wonderful feast. We then returned to quest to find the rose.

Walking the streets we saw many dogs with their families as happy as can be, it made us want a family so much more. It made us want it even more wanting, we had never experienced what it was like to be in a family, to feel the happiness like them.

As the rain continued to fall from the sky we still explored the city looking for the rose. Then suddenly the rain stopped and the sun started to rise, every thing suddenly seamed to turn around but we could not find the rose and it felt like time was running out.

But then at the last second there it stood right in front of us, we had finally found it. There was nothing anyone could do to take this moment from us, we were finally gonna be granted our one wish for happiness. We slowly approached the rose, then grabbing it and making our wish. In that moment our life's changed for ever.

Bring us to this moment now as me and my sister Kaya lay in front  of the warm fire. I would have never thought that this would one day be us, that we would have a home and someone to love us.
